Student Success Statement: Action

                          Student Success Statement
“Action Is the foundational key to all success”

Reflection: Without actions there would be nothing. Without driving a car we won’t be able to get to where we want. Without doing anything we surley will not get any where in life. How can we expect so much blessings to come upon our life if we don’t even work hard for it. For starters we don’t even deserve to live but God wants us to. He has a purpose for everyone’s life and he has a calling for each and every human being. We will not get anywhere near having our purpose fulfilled if we just sit around doing nothing. Or doing bad things. We can’t expect something good to just come out at us, it’s possible but if we do nothing at all then its not. A baby can’t learn to walk unless the parents take action and practice. A car will not start unless you take action and turn it on. So take action and you will see your purpose.

Student Success Statement: Tommy Lasorda

                        Student Success Statement
“The difference between impossible and the possible lies in
                                  DETERMINATION.”
                                      Tommy Lasorda
Reflection:

When a person is determined to do something that they really want to do, they actually do it, and chances are they might actually acheieve it. Nothing is impossible, because with God all things are possible. Your dreams will not be impossible to reach if you are determined to make they come true. Being determined means doing. Determination is the difference between the impossible and possible because things that are said to be impossible are things people are not determined to do. I fyou want to go to the bathroom it’s something you are determined in doing right? It’s not impossible because you have legs to walk to walk over to the bathroom, it is only impossible if you are determined to not use your legs and walk over there. How are you going to get there then. Now it is only impossible to not be able to succeed in your goals if you are not determined and get up and go work on making them successful.

Student Success Statement: Dean Smith

        Student Success Statement
I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right”
                                Dean Smith

Reflection: Dean Smith explains in this quote that all he wanted to do was the right thing. We might not know why he left but I have a guess. The right thing to him might have been to leave because he knows it will give someone else a chance to chance their dream. This man has a good heart. We should all be more like him, not exactly, but try to be as good as he was. Doing the right things, making wise decisions is what got him to his success in the first place. He wouldn’t of been so successful If he choose to do wrong things like drugs and alcohol. The right thing could lead us to our success to. It can give us the life we want and deserve. We all deserve to be successful but we still have to work hard for it and we have to do the right thing all the time.

Student Success Statement: Mr. Haymore

               Student Success Statement
“CTR connects you to happiness and success- CTW disconnects”
                          Mr. Haymore
Reflection:

When you are choosing to do the right things you are more likely to become happy. Doing bad things makes you think you feel happy but in reality you feel just as empty and bad. For example you’re at a party with some “friends” who are doing drugs and as they are doing them you make the bad choice of doing it to because your “friends” told you it was cool. After a while you become addicted and you mess up your life. Doing the good things is what makes you feel good about yourself. It feels nice when you do something good and they tell you thank you or you get a reward. Every time you do something good you are connecting yourself to happiness. Don’t mess up your life and choose the right!!!

Student Success Statement: Mario Cuomo

                                    Student Success Statement
"Every time I've done something that doesn't feel right, it's the ended up not being right"
                                               Mario Cuomo
Reflection: We have a conscience and if our conscience says somethings not right it isn't. For example if you and your friend are walking and there's a guy selling drugs and your friend buy's some and offers you some you're going to think " should I, or should i not try some." That little voice inside your head is fighting because it is wrong. We know whats right and what's wrong and making choices can effect us a lot. I know that if i touch a pot that has hot water its gonna be bad because i would burn myself. But i did it anyway and there was harsh consequences. Doing bad things isn't going to bring good to your life. Maybe a drug dealer might be doing something bad and still getting money but he has to live in fear that one day he might get caught. That's why we should choose the right.

Student Success Statement: " A Good Name Will Shine Brightly"

    Student Success Statement
“A good name will shine brightly”
                              ANON

Reflection: Our name will shine bright if we choose the right. For example when a celebrity decides to do something good their name is all over the magazines and all over the news. The same thing can happen to us if we decide to choose the right. If we do something good the people will see how good we are. Our name will not be a word they don’t want to hear. Our name will reflect on the way we are. Wether we are good or not. Our name will mean something to people one day. Maybe one day our name will be up on the magazines or something but we need to do the right things.

Robert E Lee Student Success Statement

                Student Success Statement
“You have only always to do what is right. It will become easier by practice, and you enjoy in the midst of your trials the pleasure of an approving conscience.”
                                              Robert E. Lee
Reflection: When we do what is right we have a clear conscience and don’t feel bad at all. We can walk through our path feeling great about ourselves because we know we are doing the right things and we get to the top with a clear path. For example when you go to a party and there are drugs and you know you shouldn’t do them but you do them anyway. If you go the right way then you won’t feel bad about taking them and won’t feel guilty. But if you take them you might go home feeling bad because you know you did something wrong and you know your parents wouldn’t approve. Having a clear conscience can really be good as we grow up. We should do what is right to get to where we want to go. We should only do right. The only thing we should do is right things and make right choices. The key to success is choosing  the right.

Anxiety

Anxiety
Having anxiety disorder was not an easy thing for me. Everyday all I did was have panic attacks and I didn’t go to school. My teachers and counselors thought I was having problems at home and stuff but really I didn’t. I was bullied a lot and I was anxious to go back to that school. I felt that no one ever understood what I felt because every day no matter what I was sent back there and I was always looking for a way to get out. It got so serious my mom had to go to school with me every day just so I can stay in class. But either way I was still anxious. Surprisingly no one bugged me about having my mom with me instead they thought it was pretty cool. That timing was the hardest point in my life. Having social service come to your house isn’t fun. Luckily I started going to therapy and moved to a new school. I successfully finished therapy and can now control my anxiety better. All thanks to God J !!!

Student Success Statment :)

                Student Success Statement
“ Success Is Simple, Do what’s right, the right way, at the right time.”
                                             Arnold H. Glasgow
Reflection: Now that I’m in high school I have to know and do everything right and the right way. Like maybe it’s not easy to do the right thing but either way it still is. The easy way might take you to where you want to go but it isn’t always the right way. Like cheating, seems right because you know you might get the answers right and might pass, and you might also get the good grade you wanted but then one day you won’t be able to cheat, then you realize you never really learned it so you fail. I will always do the right thing no matter how hard it is. There is always a good reward for it
