Student Success Statement: David A. Bednar

“Obedience is central to becoming, being, and remaining happy.”
                   David A. Bednar
Reflection:

Obedience is something that is always going to be the central of everything because without it this world would be even worse. I hear a lot of complaining all the time about how this world is terrible, and yes that’s true it is terrible but with the obedience that some people have, we are okay. If there was full on disobedience in this world, it would be filled with prisons, rehabs, jails, and so much more. Being obedient is exactly what you are doing when you aren’t murdering someone or when you aren’t doing drugs that are illegal. If you think about it, if you were to disobey the laws of this world, your life would be miserable. Why? Because instead of being out there in the world doing something you love doing or at least having a family you’re inside a jail or prison. Regretting everything that you did. Obedience makes us who we are, we call kids brats when they disobey their parents, well aren’t we just as bad when we aren’t following laws, rules, or anything that is Against God. I don’t want to shame anyone because we all fall short but I just strongly think that obedience is something amazing and it keeps us happy and that we should all be united as one to obey our father in heaven. It’s hard, a lot of things are hard but obey and things will come for you. Good things.

100+ Goals

100+ Goals

Reflection: My 100+ goals are my treasure, I want to achieve every single one of them. I’ve made some progress, I think one of the main things that I achieved was getting closer to God, I still need to work on some stuff but he’ll work on me. I’ve had at least 8 victories, my next victory is to work out the whole summer, I really want to do that and loose weight. I’m working on some goals, like I’ve been writing a lot of poetry enough to make a book, maybe not for everyone but for myself as a reflection on who I am and what I believe in. Some things I do need to do better though is to stop being so lazy, sometimes I just get really lazy and tired and I procrastinate and it makes me fall behind and I already know that one of my goals is to be less lazy. I want to stay committed in reading my goals because I do want to remember all the things that I want to do because God wants me to have Big Dreams and I have a lot of things I want to do that I know I can do with him. I will commit top reading these because I know that I will be doing what god wants me to do and I will be glorifying him in everything that I do. A goal is a tiny mustard seed to him so of course anything is possible.

Class Reflection

1. What did you like best about this class?
~what if liked best about this class was everything that if learned. I loved learning how to use a lot of the things on the computer if didn't know how to use. It was a fun experience learning all these things especially now that if know that in most jobs they look for people who have god experience in Microsoft work thing. I also thought that we had a great teacher! He was really nice and humble.

2. What did you dislike about this class?
~ What if disliked were probably having to type a lot, and the fact that some of the stuff we learned was difficult at first. I didn't really dislike much about this class if only disliked it when it was tired and having to type reflections and doing a lot of research when it was really tired made me get annoyed but if liked this class.

3. What do you recommend to improve this class?
~ What if would recommend would be for the class to have more fun activities. It's a great class but it should be more fun. I really liked all the projects we were able to do on topics we loved, that was fun because we got to choose the topic. Maybe if the Student Success Statements and maybe if there were to be more choices on what the students would like to write about it would be more fun. But also to set boundaries.

4. What will you always remember about this class?

~ I'm always going to remember doing the student success statements. I like writing devotionals and these were not exactly devotionals but if was able to do my favorite thing witch was to write, or in this case type, about what if thought and what if felt towards a certain quote. It was a really nice experience because if was able to share my voice, my thoughts, and my beliefs on this world and about a lot of things. It was all really fun, sometimes it wasn't easy but if enjoyed doing it so much and I’m going to miss that.

Student Success Statement: THomas S. Monson

Student Success Statement
“Obedience is the great test of life.”
             Thomas S. Monson
Reflection:

I totally agree that obedience is a test of life. We really aren’t going to get anywhere in life with disobedience, it just leads to some of the worst things ever. I think the end of this test just shows the result of how responsible you were in life and how much you loves God. To me, I obey God because he is worth obeying. I hear a lot of people complaining about how theres so much crime and bad things going on in the world, and honestly it’s because of the lack of obedience people have to the law, and to God. If people were to obey the law, then there would be no dead people, no murders, if people were to obey God, there wouldn’t be evil, there would be peace just like everyone wants. This life is something that is temporary. Maybe I don’t agree with everything people tell me to do, but I’ll do anything that I know is right. Being obedient should not be put as a whole “What if someone orders me to do drugs?” Okay well, then don’t obey that. We want the best for our life and for our world then be obedient to the things you know are right. Be obedient to God and be obedient in life because it brings a lot of blessings. When you disobey, like for example murder, witch is against the law and against the commandments of God, whats going to happen? You go to jail. That’s not something good. Trust me there are so many good things that happen with obedience. The right obedience. Obey God.

Student Success Statement: Elizabeth Missing Sewell

Student Success Statement
“Obedience… Is the primary object of all sound and education.”
 Elizabeth Missing Sewell

Reflection:

I know that is it hard to be obedient, and it’s really hard when you’re in school. I want to use the word education in this quote to bring up is school. We come to school to learn so that we can have a bright future. I’ve seen students obey and some disobey. Our main project when it comes to education is obedience. How are we going to pass a class when we are disobedient? The teacher gives you homework, you don’t do it you fail. Educations primary object is obedience because it builds up our character. I don’t know about you but I don’t want to have a bad character , I don’t want to be seen as a young lady without manners. In some cases yea, it does not matter what people think, but obedience is something that affects you in a great way. When we go to school we have to obey the teachers because that is how we get the job done. Life is not about doing what you want to do because the things we desire can be good but can be evil. Obedience should be a way of life and I’m glad that they teach us things like this in school because that’s what people need. Discipline.
