Student Success Statement: Og Mandino

Student Success Statement
"I will persist until i succeed"
               Og Mandino
(Author of "The Greatest Salesman in the World")

Reflection: Being persisten is basiclly not giving up on something no matter how hard it is. I know that life can be a tough thing but if we stay perssietent we will succeed in life. Our life should end with a shout of victory not a moment of regret. Every single one of our dreams is important. I want to become a minister one day and preach the word of God to millions and i know that sometimes i can have a hard time being spiritually fine. It's a battle. But just as long as i have a God to run to. Persitence is something important because we just don't give up. Just like how a whol ebunch of adveristy came to my life at one point witch awas the worst thing ever i never gave up and i waited patiently for God to do something amazing. If i look at my life now it's not perfect but i sure am way better now. Be perssistent everyday, at school, at home, in your life everyday. Don't give up on life just becaus eyou feel like you've failed, like you are never going to be good at anything. I was never good at writing until now. Some people commit suicide everyday becasue they just give up on life and feel they fail at everything. Persitence is important. Don't give on on life in gerneral, not just school work, not just your dreams, but on life. Every life was put on this world for a reason and for his or her own purpose. In the end of the persitence you will shout for josy instead of having your head down in regret.

Student Success Statement: President Calvin Coolidge

                            Student Success Statement
“Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence.
TALENT will not; nothing is more common that unsuccessful men with talent
GENIUS will not; unrewarded geniuses is almost a proverb.
EDUCATION will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan “Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
                     President Calvin Coolidge
                30th president of the US (1872- 1933)
Reflection: The president is right, persistence can’t be replaced by anything else. Talent, because there are a lot of talented people who are either too lazy to use it or are never noticed and they give up on it. Genius, because most of them can be hidden. Education, because so many of us come to school and don’t even care we just go because we have to, or also in some cases we are educated but because suppose we don’t understand math we give up on it. The only two things that can really get you into doing well is persistence and determination, because they are both strong and hard things to do. But it is possible because with God all things are possible. Persistence is almost like being still, you’re right there standing on the water nearly losing your balance but something tells you “no stay still and you won’t fall.” It’s hard but if you just stay still and determine that you are you can last so long right there you make it. God tells us to be still. Determination is also hard because let’s say you’re determined to getting a husky as a dog but then you see this other cute puppy and loose your focus, we can easily do that with life once negativity strikes. Once adversity does, once drugs and drinking and sex and parties start coming. That person you were who was so determined into getting into a certain university became distracted with other stuff that seemed fun. Persistence is when you are trying hard and hard and even though you fail you still decide to keep going. You just keep going and Be Still. In the end it’s all going to be worth it anyways. You want to sing, keep going. You want to play soccer but you’re not so good right now? Keep playing. Do you want to mark history in the world? Keep going. Be persistent, be still, and be determined. The celebration is on the other side of the tunnel. It’s not that hard to run to it.

Student Success Statement:Matt Biondi

Student Success Statement
“Persistence can change failure into extraordinary achievement.”
                                   Matt Biondi
   Olympic Gold Medal Winner,
         World Record Holder

Reflection: Taking our time to practice and putting effort in what we want to do is something that will reward us greatly. I’m pretty sure in the beginning Matt didn’t know how to swim that good enough to have a record, but in the end of all his practice and all the effort he put into his swimming, he finally did it. He achieved a record in the Olympics. Sometimes we start off as failures when we try to achieve our dreams and some of us end up giving up because you are so tired of trying. I know things can get tiring but the more you go on and the more you work hard for what you want you can and will get it. I’m a writer and I know I’ m not all that great and yea sometimes I get frustrated but I eventually will get better as the years go by. I just don’t have to give up. What good does giving up bring? It brings nothing but regret in your heart because as you grow up you’re going to be thinking “man I should’ve tried.” Matt worked so hard to have that record and to win. He’s a human being, I’m a human being,  you’re a human being. Why can’t we do that? Practice makes perfect. So instead of complaining about the things we can’t do now do whatever it is you can because that will reward you with something great.

Student Success Statement: Bud Greenspan

Student Success Statement
"Never look to the ground for your next step. Greatness belongs to thoese who look to the horizon"
                                              Bud Greenspan
Reflection: When you look at the horizon it looks beautiful, it looks peacful, althugh there may be some ugly things here and there it is still beautiful in your eyes in your own way. In life there are many bad things that can and will happen but we have to keep our head up. With our head down we might take the next step and keep falling. For example when you're walking and you just look down at the ground and never look up you might bump into someone, you might fall, you might get hit, you might get pushed, but you don't notice because you are looking at the ground. Lool up at the sky, You can't see God but just believe he's up there, look at all the beautiful things. Sometimes we do go through tough times in life but our future won't be so ruined because of it unless we fix it. Look at the horizon and be at peace. Dance in the rain when there is a storm. Reality is you will ge nowhere walking around feeling bad for yourself, being lazy. Have faith and be courageous, i know that the future is something we have to work hard for but in the end its all worth it. We all have greatness inside of us, and we all have a talent and potential that God has given us for a reason. We are all greatness wiating to happen. For all we know you might be the person to invent a cure for cancer but unless you keep your head held high and stay strong no matter what goes on i can assure you that you will get truly blessed.

Summary On John F Kenndy Physical Fintess Video.

Summary On John F Kenndy Physical Fintess Video.

President John F. Kennedy tells us in the video that he wants us to be a part of phyisical fitness. He cares about it becasue he wants us to live a long life, he wants us  all to live a longer life. He explains to us why physical fitness is so important in our lives and how he thinkis it importanat that all students and children and adults come together and be physical. He wants to see improvement on this becasue he wants us to live longer. Being healthier means you live longer. I want to be healthy and live a long life as well but i can't do that if  i don't stay healthy and active because if i just sit around and do nothing but sit and sleep and be lazy im not going to get anywhere in life and my body is going to get so used to doing nothing that i cant even walk a long time without getting tired or weak and who knows maybe it might fail on me.
I promise to myself that iw ill never drink, never do drugs, and eat everything my mother makes me for dinner. Myabe it's hard for me to do great in my P.E class becasue i'm not that much into phyisical fitness myself but i will try my best so that i can stay healthy.

Student Success Statement: John F. Kennedy

                                             Student Success Statement
"Physical fitness is not the only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. The relationship between the soundness of the body and the activities of the mindis subtle and complex. Much is not yet understood. But we do know that the Greeks knew: that intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong."
                        President John F. Kennedy

Reflection:  We have to be healthy in order to do what we want to do in the future. We all have great intelligence and potential and we all have our own dreams for a purpose that only God knows. Physical fitness is not something people should do just to loose weight and stuff but to also have a healthy body and to be able to have our body be activated. We only have this body for a short time and we only stay down here on earth once, we have to be healthy in order to do what we want. How are we supposed to follow our dreams if we are just laying down on the couch, or if you don't take care of your body how are you supposed to do the things you want to do when you're sick? We can't do amazing things from our death bed. Skills come from physcial fitness, like we can become really fast runners and that can be our skill. We can become really strong that can be one to. It's a source of creativity where you use your arms, your legs, your entire body to do what you want to do. When you're painting a picture you're using your arms, when you're dancing on stage you're using your legs, when you're readin and writing you're using your brain. We use our body for everything we do. Be physiclly active and you won't just be healthier but you will gain many skills and a huge amount of creaitivty.

Student Success Statement: Charles Kendall Adams

                      Student Success Statement
“No student ever attains eminent success by simply doing what is required of him/her; it is the amount and excellence of what is over and above the required that determines the greatness of ultimate distinction.”

  Charles Kendall Adams, American Historian
Reflection:

As high school students some of us have big dreams. Some people may want to become a doctor or a vet or possibly a singer, whatever it is. We can try our whole lives doing what it is to reach that dream and make it come true but really you can’t just expect to do it and BOOM your dream comes true. It’s what’s after we do the required job that counts. For example the school requires us to wear uniform and suppose I do wear my uniform and act badly in school. I’m doing what is required but after all I’m still not doing well. We have to try our best to do everything great. We can’t expect to be well known if we just do what Is told we have to do it right. Singers, actors, dancers they are all required to do something but they have to do it right. An actor is required to repeat the line on the script for the movie but he has to do it right in order for the movie to be great in the end right? We all are greatness waiting to happen. We should start doing what we were made to do. We all have a purpose.

Some ophthalmic technicians work in optical laboratories. Most work in retail stores that have an optical department.
Average Salary: $15,000- $20,000
Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma or a GED certificate is needed to begin training. Training programs are as long as six months and a year and they are provided by vocational schools and community colleges. Some retail optical departments provide training on the job.
Reflection: The job seems kind of difficult truthfully. I wouldn’t want to become this it is not of my interest.
