Student Success Statement
Obedience sums up our entire duty.”
          Hosea Ballou
Reflection:

Our entire life we have to obey someone, or something. We have Parents, laws, police, judges, doctors, we have a lot of people in this world we have to obey. Its our duty. Right now my life is based on obeying God, my parents, and everyone who has authority over me, even laws. It sums up our duty because our duty down here on earth is to fufill Gods will, to make sure his plans are done. We have to obey him our entire lives, so it sums up our duty. When we become rebellious we aren’t doing nothing, no work, no duty. We will not be summed up at the end. Not being obedient actually affects us as humans a lot, if there were no obedience I could tell you there would be so many people dead by now, so many. Obedience is something we all want people to have. You want your future kids to be obedient to you, you want your boss to, and sometimes we want our parents to do what we tell them to do. And when they don’t we get really angry. Now why would someone be obedient to you when you don’t even want to do the same. Obedience is a way of life, not a bad one. It’s not blackmail and its not unfair. Obey God, and obey everyone around you, blessings come J

                       Student Success Statement
“Right is right only when entire.”
                                 Victor Hugo

Reflection: Doing the right thing is when you do something that’s 100% right. You can’t possibly do a little part of it right. For example, you can’t cook something with it being only a little bit right. The whole dinner has to be cooked right in order to have good taste and also for the food not to make anybody sick. Which leads to my point, we have to do everything 100% right. I’m not saying that we are never going to fail or we must feel pressure to make anything or any of our descicions perfect because I know for a fact that we are not perfect. I’m saying that we need to base our entire lives on doing right. Have a mind set that wants to do good things and not bad things. It’s almost like me going to church and being all in love with God there and then coming out and doing drugs when I’m no longer at church. I do only a portion of the things right. But when we want to do things right it is only right if everything is right. I hope you understand my point. This quote confused me but this is honestly the way I see it.

Student Success Statement :D

              Student Success Statement
“If it is not right do not do it; if it is not true do not say it.”
                                  Marcus Aurelius
Reflection: If you know what you are about to do or considering doing is not good then don’t do it. If there is gossip going around do not say it. They are just lies made by other people. Doing the wrong thing can make a big impact on your life.
Example: When someone creates gossip you are tempted to tell someone else what you heard. You know it’s wrong to go around saying lies. Instead of telling everyone don’t say anything. That would mean you made a right choice. Don’t say something you know is not true and don’t do it if you know that it is the wrong thing to do.

Student Success Statment: Always Do Right.

              Student Success Statement
                       “Always Do Right “
                               Mark Twain
Student Reflection: Me as a student should always do right things, even when it is hard. I have always been taught to do the right thing and I think everyone should be taught that. As humans if we don’t do the right we can mess up our future. So many bad things happen in this world because people do the wrong things.
