Student Success Statement: ANON

                    Student Success Statement
                Regarding Successful Living
“There is no giant step that does it. Its all of the little steps.”
                                    ANON

Reflection: I wish it was possible for me to just have my dream right now, to be able to live it. You want to know why we can’t just take a giant step to success? Because we might not be able to handle it, to take care of it. We need to mature first. We need to go to school, be disciplined in order to be able to mature for anything we receive. One big step is almost like giving a baby a knife to cook so he can take a big step to cutting a carrot for dinner. It’s not right to give a baby a knife right? Then it’s not good for us to be blessed or to have success when we won’t know how to use it, how to handle it, and how to take care of it. Otherwise it would be a huge mess. Most of us are teenagers and we think we can handle anything, but really? I mean from what I have seen most of us can’t even handle P.E and congrats to those who can but im putting this as an example. If most of us can’t handle P.E witch is a lot of work how are we going to be able to handle a hug step towards something that’s successful? It’s a lot of hard work to, and you are going got get tired. Baby steps are important that’s what my mom always tells me. I cant wear makeup until im at the right age because then I might be taking a hug step to becoming a “women” and she doesn’t want that. Baby steps are okay, not annoying, Take little steps before anything because honestly time goes by fast and you’ll want them back. God does not bless you unless you are ready. He loves you.

Student Success Statement: William Penn

Sudent Success Statement
"Right is right, even if everyone
Is against it: Wrong is wrong,
even if everyone is for it."
     William Penn

Relfection: We all go to school and most of us want to be cool and accepted int his wrold, but sometimes the onlt way we can be accpeted is if we do the wrong things, Drugs, drinking, smoking weed, partying, being rebelious. I see now that a lot of kids my age or younger do it all the time. And im only 14. I don't even think half of those people want to do it they just want to do it because evryone else is doing it. The right thing to do is stay away from doing all that even if everyone thinks you're not cool enough and lame and stuff. It's funny, they are actually the lame ones because they need alcohol or drugs to have fun when you can just have fun naturally. If everyone makes fun of you for choosing the right then let them. They will be the ones regretting what they do and they will have to pay a lot as the years go by. Doing bad things is not even cool and the people who think it's cool just want to be cool. Everyone is cool in their own way because you were made by the most amazing Person ever. God. He is the kings of kings and you are his child,he doesnt want the worst for you but the best. So if anyone makes fun of you for choosing to do good, who cares. You are a child of God who is going to be blessed because you didn't do the wrong things. Everyone is awesome. So like william penn said. if everyone goes for the wrong you go for the right, because right is right and wrong is wrong. Good is good, bad is bad.

Student Success Statement: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

                     Student Success Statement
“Cowardice asks the question ‘Is it safe?’
Expediency asks the question ‘Is it politic?’
Vanity asks the question ‘Is it popular?’
But, conscience asks the question, ‘Is it right?’ and there comes a time when one must take a position that I neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because one’s conscience tells one that it is right.”
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Reflection: Everyone in the world has a conscience that they do or don’t follow. The biggest problem I see now days is the problem that instead of people following what they know is right or wrong they follow what the world offers them. What Dr. Martin Luther King Jr is trying to tell us is that there will be a time when we have to choose to do the right thing no matter how unpopular or scary it might be. It might not be safe, might not be political, it might not be popular, but it’s always right. The world offers you drugs and offers you money and offers the worst things sometimes. Why should we take up that offer when we know that it is wrong? I know that in my heart if I was ever offered drugs I would say know because I know in my gear that they are wrong. Now some people don’t care if it’s wrong they just want to look cool. The conscience is always right, I know some say that we should follow our hearts but our hear t can deceive us and will tell us what we want. It wants us to do the right thing but our conscience looks out for us and says ‘No’. I’m not saying the heart is bad but don’t always follow it because the heart can be deceiving. Just always do what is right no matter what.

Student Success Statement: Abraham Lincoln

                        Student Success Statement
“Let us have faith that right makes right, and in that faith let us to end dare to do out duty to as we understand it.”
                                        Abraham Lincoln

Reflection: We as a group of people, and by group I do mean the whole world, should have faith that doing the right thing is always going to be right. Suppose your friend robbed a bank and he begs you to not say a word to anyone, you know that in your heart I is the right thing to tell the police. You know it’s right because your friend had no right to take away the money he did not earn but other people worked hard for. You have faith that it’s the right thing to do. I always believed that is you ever felt like something you did made you feel even the slightest guilty its because yea in a way it is wrong. You know sometimes In life we don’t understand why we have to do the right thing. I get it. Why do I have to be nice to the person who called me a name? Why cant I call him something back? Why cant I beat him up like he beat me up? Why? We have to dare and understand it. No matter how confusing or how much it seems stupid, it’s the right thing. You don’t call that person a name because then you will just be putting more fire into the fire. You don’t beat up the person because he beat you up because you will be just like him. You could put him in a hospital. We just have to understand and have faith that everything that is right is right. For a reason.

Student Success Statement: Dr. Laura Schlessinger

         Student Success Statement
“The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon:
          Self-respect, dignity, integrity, and self-esteem.”
            Dr. Laura Schlessinger
Reflection: A lot of the bad things we do in life come with negative internal feelings, and counsquences. For example drugs, it’s the wrong thing to use and it causes really bad damage to your inner slef. You loose your self in the drugs and they control you, When you know that you are doing things right. When you are doing things right. You really don’t have anything to worry about. When you do good things you begin to feel good about yourself and you don’t want to do certain things because you just want to do what is right for you and others. You won’t take drugs because you know your life is worth it and you know you’re doing good things and you really don’t want to mess that up. Your self esteem is great because you are told how great it is that you are doing good things and you just learn the value you have because you have been fearfully and wonderfully made by an amazing, loving, and great God. He wants everyone to do the right thing. And we should because now everything we feel in the inside will be positive and not  negative.

                       Student Success Statement
“Right is right only when entire.”
                                 Victor Hugo

Reflection: Doing the right thing is when you do something that’s 100% right. You can’t possibly do a little part of it right. For example, you can’t cook something with it being only a little bit right. The whole dinner has to be cooked right in order to have good taste and also for the food not to make anybody sick. Which leads to my point, we have to do everything 100% right. I’m not saying that we are never going to fail or we must feel pressure to make anything or any of our descicions perfect because I know for a fact that we are not perfect. I’m saying that we need to base our entire lives on doing right. Have a mind set that wants to do good things and not bad things. It’s almost like me going to church and being all in love with God there and then coming out and doing drugs when I’m no longer at church. I do only a portion of the things right. But when we want to do things right it is only right if everything is right. I hope you understand my point. This quote confused me but this is honestly the way I see it.

Student Success Statement: Ralph Wlado Emerson

Student Success Statement
" That which we persist in doing becomes easier to do, not that the nature of the thing has changed but the power to do has increased."
                                                         Ralph Wlado Emerson

Reflection: As an expamle i will put my life, i'm honestly very terrible at math. I have never in my life understood it as well as other people. Right now im taking an algebra class and i try and i try and i try. Im trying tobe as persistent as i possibly can. I have to admit though i get really frusrtated and want to give up, but i myself know that i can't. I have to do the work and my homework in order to get a good grade. The more i don't try the more i don't understand it. Now, i actyally understand it a little bit better, i stayed as persistent as i could and now i'm doing my homework faster and i find it easier. To have this more relatable life is like a math equation, we don't always understand it but in the end there is always the right answer. We cannot solve our own problems so we need hlep from God, people, and family, also friends. The persitence we have is by our own strength but we must also learn to go by Gods strength. Things in life don't get easier just becasue it gets easier its becasue we learn to understand how and why things happen and we just try our best with persitence to be patient and not give up. Perstitence is an important thing we have to carry throughout our entire lives. The math that my teacher is teaching me now hasn not changed at all it's just the simple fact that i decided to use all the power that i had in my brain to understand it. Don't be lazy, Don't give up. Persitence will always be enough.

When You Tell One Lie:Paul Hatch

When You Tell One Lie
          Paul Hatch

When you tell one lie, it leads to another
So you tell two lies to cover each other
Then you tell three lies and, Oh Brother,
You're in trouble up to your ears!

So you tell four lies to try and protect you
Then you tell five lies so folks won't suspect you
Then you tell six lies and you'll collect
A life filled with worries and fears

'Cause you can't remember how many lies you've told
And half the things you say aren't true
And sometime you'll slip up, you'll trip and then
Whatever will become of you?

So you lie and lie without even trying
And each lie you tell will keep multiplying
'Till the whole wide world will know you're lying
Then you'll be
Suspected
Detected
Rejected
Neglected
Disliked
And you should!
When you lie you're closing the door
On everything good

Student Success Statement: Thomas Edison

                 Student Success Statement
“Your worth consists in what you are and not in what you have.”
                          Thomas Edison, Inventor

Reflection: All of our mistakes, all of our belongings, and all of our talents, they do not actually make us worth it. Your own life is what makes you worth it. We have so much value and we are 2000000000% worth it. I know that because we were worth enough for Jesus to die for, for him to be tourtured for. We are worth it because of him. I am not worth it because I am a good writer, a famous person is not worth it because they have money, they are simply worth it because of who they are. They could be the nicest people ever and that’s what makes them work it. We are worth it because of the person who created us, and why he created us. There are so many teenagers commiting suicide because they feel unworthy, like they aren’t even good enough. Some people even believe they aren’t worth is because they don’t have any money or they don’t have what they want. Also sadly some people find life not even being worth it, because they don’t have what they desire. Did you know our soul is worth more than all the treasures in the world put together? I am worth it because of the one who created me. I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and so is everyone else in this world. Sadly not everyone knows how much they are worth and how much value they have, they just throw their life away. But honestly if I had no worth I wouldn’t of been created by the most perfect person in the first place, and I wouldn’t of been able to know how God sent his only son to die for not only me but for everyone else because we are worth it, He doesn’t even need us but he wants us, no matter what because he loves us. Every life is worth it.
