Dental Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:
Dental
technicians are part of the dental team who construct custom made restorative
and dental appliances. The dentist talks to the dental technician with
prescriptions, drawings, and measurements from the patient. The most important
thing they do is create a replica of the patients anatomy known as a dental
model. They use the model for the construction of custom appliances.
Salary: 36,000
Educational Requirements:
You
must have a working knowledge of the English language and have not been found
guilty of practicing dentistry illegally. You must also pass three complete
examinations taken in any order with a four year period. After those four years
the RG would need to take and pass all the examinations to acheve the CDT
status.
