Research Scientist
Duties and Responsibilities:
They
work to improve life and health by increasing the worlds knowledge about
whatever they would like to study. There are many interest and they often focus
their research in bio-chemistry, genetics, immunology, microbiology, marine
biology, molecular biology, physics, or pathology. They may work by themselves
or may work with a team. Most of the research scientist do their research in
laboratories but many work in field situations or teach in colleges, universities,
and medical schools.
Average Salary: $25,000- $75,000
Educational Requirements:
Students
who want to become this should take the most challenging science, math, and
English courses available in their high school including advanced placement and
international baccalaureate courses. To work in this job it requires at least a
masters degree, and a doctorate is required to conduct advances work or manage
research programs departments.
