Duties and Responsibilities:
Neurologist work in
hospitals, clinics, or universities treating patients, conducting research, or
teaching students. They are experts at diagnosing and treating neurological
disorders. Neurologist examine patients and may order and interpret diagnostic test
in order to determine the best course of treatment. As researchers they
participate in clinical studies and other types of research and write articles
for medical journals and also give presentations at professional meetings.
Salary; $1,600,000
Educational Requirements:
Like other physicians
a neurologist must begin their career by going to college and then attending a
medical school. As an undergraduate, doctors who major in science like biology,
chemistry, and physics, will be better prepared for medical school. Most
colleges do not have pre-med major because medical schools do not require any
specific major, some schools do offer a pre-med major that may include biology,
chemistry, physics, and math courses required by medical schools.
Reflection:
No I would not like to become a neurologist,
but the annual pay is great and it is a easy job. J
