Paul ‘Bear’ Bryant
Paul
bear Bryant was a college football player and coach. Paul bear was born
September 11,1913- Janurany 26,1983. Bryant was a head football coach. Paul
called himself a tired old man who would never ever get tired football. Paul ‘bear’
bryant sadly passed away 28 days after his last game. Bryant had 323 major
college victories. He had more than 37 winning seasons. Paul was said to be one
of the best coaches there ever was. Paul was the kind of person who really
wanted to win. He was competitive but not an aggressive competitive. Paul wanted
his players to be people who are willing to work hard to win. He wanted people
who were willing to sacrifice and that’s what he thought could get his team to
win. Bryant molded his team into his image. He made sure they focused on
aggressive defense and execution on special teams. Paul was really hard on his
team and made sure they would win. His hard work is what got him to become so
successful. With the help of the work his team put he was all the way at the
top. “He wasn’t just a coach, He was the coach” said former USC coach John
Macky. A lot of people really looked up to him. He coached for the University
of Alabama. He coached them for 25 years.
